Created in 1976, NaturOparC is a nature park inviting its visitors to a pleasant walk in a preserved wilderness, a place of quietness dedicated to observation, where it is good to stroll! The best advice we can give you is... take your time, be patient and look at every corner so as not to lose a crumb, or rather a feather, of your visit!

Looking for a nature break along the Wine Route? NaturOparC invites visitors of all ages to discover a peaceful, shaded site dedicated to the conservation of local species, such as the European hamster, the Eurasian otter and, of course, the white stork. It’s also the perfect opportunity to enjoy a tasty break right next to the storks! Thanks to encounters with the animal keepers, the visit becomes a captivating and enriching experience, combining fun and education around biodiversity. In 2026, NaturOparC will celebrate 50 years of commitment, sharing and environmental awareness.

Visit of NaturOparC

Parks and wildlife parks

Situated in the heart of alsacian vineyards, the Nature-Park welcome you in a beautiful 5 ha wildlifpark. Listen to the 200 free storks, dive with the otters thanks to the glass tunnel discover the common hamster…

Throughout the day, our animal caretakers offer numerous meetings during which they present the residents but also the spirit of NaturOparC: presentation of the stork but also breakfast for the otters, snack for the hamsters, aperitif for the coypu, dessert for the raccoons... are all privileged moments between visitors, caretakers and, of course, animals!

Accessibility

Yes, the paths are suitable. There is a pram garage if you wish to leave your prams in a safe place at any time during your visit.

Access conditions

NaturOparC is accessible by the shuttle bus that serves the village of Hunawihr. Directly accessible by bus from Colmar (68), it is a little more complicated from Sélestat (67).
