Workshop on dissecting pellets
5 October 2024 14:00
Autour des animaux
Pour les enfants
Investigate by dissecting the droppings of nocturnal birds of prey in our region. The droppings spat out by birds of prey after their meal contain a whole host of undigested elements: hair, bones, eggshells, etc. Valuable clues for identifying the perpetrator of the ‘crime’ and determining its diet, but that's not all... These workshops, organised by the Groupe d'Étude et de Protection des Mammifères d'Alsace (GEPMA), also help to compile an inventory of the region's species and their distribution.
