Be careful! From October 23, 2023, the museum will close for an indefinite period, currently estimated between 12 and 24 months. A partial reopening is planned for the second half of 2026.
The Wallpaper Museum located in Rixheim in Alsace, labeled Museum of France, will change your view on this mode of decoration that you think you know! You can admire wallpapers dating from the 18th century to the present day, from dominoté papers to the creations of contemporary designers. The panoramic views that open up the walls to distant lands, exotic landscapes and idyllic gardens invite you to dream. Transport yourself to early 19th century India or North America, relive the Greek War of Independence and admire the exuberant flora of El Dorado.
Opening hours
10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 18:00
Closed Mondays and Tuesdays.
Exceptional closures: 1 January, Good Friday, 1 May and 25 December

Follow the signs to "Centre Ville" then "Musée du Papier Peint" and "Hôtel de ville".We advise you to park in the Jumenterie car park located between rue Zuber and rue du temple, behind the post office.
